Complexity have sealed passage to the Americas Minor's upper bracket final after defeating NRG 2-1 (8-16 on Cache, 19-17 on Train, and 16-8 on Inferno).

The second and final match of the day kicked off with Complexity bagging a quick 2-0 lead as CTs on their map pick, Cache. NRG responded with a flawless strategy in a third-round buy, however, breaking through the defence and taking control of proceedings from there on out, 6-2.

It was only then that Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's men, with nothing but pistols, got back on the board with double-kills from the 24-year-old. Although NRG hit back immediately, Complexity tightened up their defence, losing just two more to bring the deficit to a sole round by half-time.

Just like in the first half, the CT side won the pistol round and the subsequent anti-eco, but could not prevail against their opponents' buy in the third round. Nevertheless, NRG instantly countered the offence, stringing six rounds together to take the lead in the series, 16-8.

The second map was Train, NRG's map pick. Playing as Terrorists, Complexity secured a 3-0 score thanks to a 1v2 post-plant clutch from stanislaw in the pistol. NRG then won the first gun round on the back of an AWP triple-kill by Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, and went on to take the lead in the following rounds.

Complexity levelled the score with a quad-kill from Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor with a Deagle, but NRG didn't let their rivals capitalize on it as they kept shutting down the defence to go up 8-5. Still, NRG replied with two successful rounds to reduce the deficit to 7-8 before switching sides.

Now playing on the T-side, NRG picked up the pistol round and the subsequent anti-ecos to bag an 11-8 lead. Complexity seemed set to win the first gun round, but CeRq came up huge, denying his opponents with a triple-kill in a 2v4 situation.

Down 8-13, Complexity called for a tactical pause in a bid to halt NRG's momentum, which inspired Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker and co. to take the map to overtime despite NRG playing three match-points. Moreover, Complexity remained calm and collected and turned the map around in their favour, 19-17.

The decider, Inferno, began with NRG winning their third pistol round of the series, but failing to overcome their opponents' force-buy. Complexity went on to take control of proceedings from that moment, 3-1.

After building up their economy, NRG saw Jacob "FugLy" Medina stop Complexity's aggression in banana with a great quad-kill, which helped his team remain in command early in the map. Still, Complexity did not back down and responded with a great run to bag a narrow 8-7 lead by half-time.

Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan and his teammates carried that momentum into the second half, with the 24-year-old finding a triple-kill to help Complexity secure their CT pistol. Surprisingly enough, the second half was a one-way street for Complexity, who lost a single round to clinch their spot in the Americas Minor's upper bracket final with a 16-8 victory.
